In Islam, faith, or “Iman,” is the foundation of a Muslim’s life. Two critical declaration of Faith that every Muslim learns are imane Mufassal and iman e Mujmal. These declarations serve as concise statements that summarize a Muslims beliefs, guiding their spiritual journey and daily actions.

Iman-e-Mujmal In Arabic states that:
آمَنْتُ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَلٰئِكَتِهٖ وَكُتُبِهٖ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَالْقَدْرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرَهٖ مِنَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَالْبَعْثِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ
Iman-e-Mujmal In English Transliteration:
”Aamantu Billaahi Kama Huwa Bi Asmaihi Wa Sifatihi Wa Qabiltu Jamia Ahkamihi Ikraran Bil-lisani Wa Tasdiqan Bil Qalbi.”
Iman-e-Mujmal In Urdu states that:
ایمانِ مُجمل
میں اللہ پر جیسا کہ وہ اپنے اسماء یعنی اپنے نام اور اپنی صفات کے ساتھ ہے ایمان لایا۔اور میں نے اس کے تمام احکام زبان سے اقرار کرتے ہوئے اور دل سے تصدیق کرتے ہوئے قبول کیے۔
Iman-e-Mujmal In English Meaning:
“I believe in Allah عزوجل, as He is, with His names and attributes,
and I accept all His judgement, with acknowledge with the tongue and believe in the heart.”
Iman-e-Mufassal (Summary Declaration of Faith):
Iman means faith: To believe in the six term of faith that are called Arkan-ul-islam. The meaning of Mujmal is briefly features of Faith.
To admire all these features off in brief is known as Emaan-e-Mujmal.
Emaan-e-Mujmal also provides a framework for living a righteous life. It helps Muslims to understand their purpose in life, to recognize there responsibilities towards Allah, and to develop a strong connection with Him. Belief in Allah عزوجل and His attributes, for example, helps Muslims to put their trust in Allah and to seek His help in all matters. Belief in the Day of Judgement helps Muslim to remain conscious of their deeds and to strive for good deeds in order to attain Paradise.
Moreover, the belief in divine destiny helps Muslim to understand that everything that happens in this word is according to the will of Allah and that all hardships and difficulties are a test from Allah. This belief helps Muslims to be patient in the face of adversity and to have faith that Allah will reward them for their patience.
